Research

An important aspect of the aims of Odense City Museums is to conduct research in the museums’ areas of responsibility.
Within the History unit, research is carried out by a number of different curators. These research areas cover a wide field but traditionally their focus has been on the following areas:

- Odense city’s topography and history from the Middle Ages to the present day
- The history of construction on Funen
- The history of landscape and settlement on Funen
- The history of agriculture on Funen

In recent years topics such as industrial culture, modern urban development and the history of the landscape have been of increasing interest.

On these pages you can find presentations of current and recently completed research projects.
